What I Believe
In order to understand me, it helps to understand
what I believe. Since it can take a lot of time to formulate a full
doctrinal statement, I will here provide a brief list of what I believe and hold
to be true. I plan to "beef up" this page as time permits, but
you should know what is the base of my belief system as a minimum if you are
interested in this web page and what drives it.
I believe:
- That the scriptures of the Old and New
Testaments are inspired by God, and inerrant and the sole authority upon
which to know and relate to God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the
Holy Spirit
- That there is one God who is eternal,
omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent, existing as three Persons, the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one in nature, attributes, power, and glory
- That God created the world in six literal
days, and that the accounts in the book of Genesis are literally true and
accurate
- That the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He is both true God and true
man who physically dwelt among us for a time
- That man was created perfect in the image of God,
and subsequently sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual and eternal death which is separation from
God
- That all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and we are sinners in thought, word, and deed
- That Satan is real and is an enemy of God and
desires to ensure that no human being ever sees the inside of Heaven as far
as he and his other fallen angels can control
- That Jesus Christ died for our sins and
defeated death so that we could have eternal life with Him if we accept His
free offer of eternal life made to every human being
- That those who accept Jesus Christ as their
Lord and Savior are "born again" and have the assurance of eternal
life with Him
- That even though we are saved through Christ
that we have an obligation to honor that salvation by avoiding sin, a sinful
lifestyle, or engaging in sinful behavior as defined in the Bible
- That being homosexual is neither in itself a
sin or a condemnation to Hell, but rather a challenge to accept Jesus Christ
as one's Lord and live a life that is pleasing to Him and avoids all
homosexual behavior and activities
- That we are commanded by Jesus to spread the
"good news" of the Gospel to all peoples, but that homosexuals who
have a saving relationship with Jesus have a special obligation to share the
good news with other homosexuals who may not yet have had the opportunity to
accept Jesus as Lord or may need loving encouragement to establish an
eternal relationship with Jesus Christ
- That there is no pleasure, lifestyle or sin in
this life that can possibly compete with the assurance and joy of future
eternal life with Jesus, even though Satan and his kind would have many
believe that pleasure in this life is the ultimate goal of why we were
created.
- That Satan will, as promised in the book of
Revelation, some day receive the just compensation for his actions, for his
opposition and hatred of the Holy Trinity, for his corruption of mankind by
being punished and tormented for all eternity
- That one who rejects the free offer of
salvation through Jesus Christ will see their eternal soul live apart from
Him for all eternity in a place of sadness, torment, and isolation from God
- That the ONLY path to an eternal life in
Heaven with God is by means of a relationship with Jesus Christ; there is no
other way by which mankind can achieve salvation or eternal life; Jesus is
the "gatekeeper" to Heaven and only by having a true relationship
with Him can any of us escape the condemnation of eternal life apart from
God in Hell
I plan to update and expand this list as time and
inspiration permit. I want you to know what I believe so that you can
evaluate every statement I make and see if it measures up when held up against
God's Holy Word, the Bible. Only if you know what I believe will you
perhaps understand why I created this web site and deeply wish that no
homosexual ever see the insides of Hell. I feel that God has set me aside
for this mission of bringing the message of eternal salvation to every
homosexual on planet Earth. I feel that God is also calling other
homosexuals to abandon the life that the flesh, which is weak and sinful, would
deem to be appropriate; instead I believe that God is calling on homosexuals to
accept the life that is pleasing to Him and establish an everlasting
relationship with Jesus Christ, even even if it means a life on this earth of
self-sacrifice and self-denial.
